The Public Works Authority of Qatar, known as Ashghal, was established in 2004 to oversee the planning, design, procurement, construction, delivery, and asset management of all infrastructure projects and public buildings in Qatar. Operating under the supervision of the Minister of Municipality, Ashghal plays a pivotal role in the country’s development.

• Local Areas Infrastructure Programme: Develops roads and drainage networks and constructs new infrastructure in all areas of Qatar, providing integrated infrastructure for new areas and improving existing facilities.
